Biography
C1 History Since the age of 14, Creative 1 (Keith Patterson) has been performing professionally in front of mass crowds. Born & raised in Detroit, MI. Creative 1 (who is a Showtime at the Apollo winner in Harlem,NY.) has been performing all over the country attracting fans everywhere he goes with his unique R&B style and commanding stage performances. C1s music career began in music group formed by himself and his two cousins Mark Patterson, & Marcus Reed, the trio called themselves "Markke'". As time went on, C1 joined a local band out of Detroit who called themselves "The New Anxiety Band" and this is where C1 started to mold his stage performance & vocals skills to a very professional level. After this span, C1 took a venture to Tokyo, Japan where he dazzled audiences at the famed "Pickford Live Hall" & Hot japanese dance club "Garys" in Nagoya, Japan. This is where he hooked up with production team "Platium Patnaz" Mr. Jerome "J-Stixx" Davis & The son of the legendary motwn funk brothers band "Earl Van Dyke" Mr. Turhan Terrell-Van Dyke. This trio while in Japan went on to write numerous hit songs for japanese artist and labels of which one paticular song charted "He Was She" recorded by a japanese artist and released on the JVC-Victor label. In 1996, C1 formed and started his own music production company called "Creative Sound Productions" where he teamed up with other producers, musicians, writers, & vocalist to produce music for himself as well as for other hot acts local and aboad to network with and try to gain some exposure. In doing so, C1 wrote and produced a song entitled "Everything Covered" for local R&B group "J-Maze" which the radio station in Detroit WJLB FM98 soon picked up for radio play. C1 has also worked with the legendary Ms. Suzanne DePasse' (Micheal Jackson, The Jackson 5, Lionel Ritchie, Rick James) as well as music managers Roger Yopp, & Tanya Heidelberg (7 Mile, Nicole Gilbert, & gospel artist Pam & Dotti). Creative 1 has been slated as the next hot up & upcoming artist/songwriter/producer in the industry today and Creative 1 plans on securing his spot in the industry to try and bring back that real soul singing & storytelling writing back to the world. Currently, this artist music is being heard locally, nationally, & worldwide via the internet and is one of the most prolific artist of our time.
